Lets Ride

Let’s Ride is a national riding program designed by Cycling Australia (CA) to be a fun learning experience.

The program teaches new cyclists to ride safely by developing knowledge, skills and confidence – giving family and friends peace of mind.

Let’s Ride is split into three levels, or ‘gears’: 1st Gear, 2nd Gear and 3rd Gear.

The program is supported by a suite of learning materials to reinforce key message learnt during the program, including a progression tracker, at-home skills and worksheets.

CycleCityWest provides the Let’s Ride program over six-weeks as an after school program; or as a two-day school holidays program, workplace professional development program, or community group program. The program can be conducted in school grounds or car parks.

Let’s Ride aims to build a pathway within the sport and support the long-term sustainable development of bike riding in the Australian culture, as well as build a large participation base for the long-term development of Cycling.

We believe the Lets Ride program is a key to achieve our vision of developing a bike riding community in Melbourne’s west, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to gain the ability and confidence to enjoy riding a bike safely.
